Recently (Thanksgiving Day), the STARK COUNTY POLITICAL REPORT (The Report) ran a piece complimenting North Canton Councilman Daryl Revoldt for initiating a series of "Townhall" meetings to bring North Cantonians up-to-date on the city's financial crisis and to solicit citizen help in figuring out how to right the North Canton economic "ship of state."
Yesterday The Report received an e-mail from Councilman Revoldt informing that the idea actually came from Councilman Jeff Davies.
Last week The Report received a similar disclaimer from Plain Township Louis Giavasis on who deserves primary credit in Stark County for heading up the effort to stop the excessive rate increase request that American Electric Power (AEP/Ohio Power) has made of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO).
Giavasis pointed to Stark County Commissioner Todd Bosley as the driving force on the AEP opposition.
The Report is glad to see Revoldt and Giavasis "giving credit where credit is due," but The Report's recognition of the Giavasis/Revoldt duo stands.
Isn't it impressive to have Stark County public figures who are willing to share the limelight?
