BREAKING NEWS: KIRK SCHURING "TO THE RESCUE" ON LOCAL GOV'T FUNDING?

The Stark County Political Report has learned that state Representative J. Kirk Schuring (Republican - Jackson Township - the 48th Ohio House District), this morning, introduced HB 115.

A preliminary reading of the bill by yours truly indicates that it is a $200 million grant program to help Ohio's villages, cities and townships bridge over from the draconian cuts in local government funding (FY 2012/2013) in State of Ohio funding to local governments either making cuts in services to their citizens or convincing them to increase taxes to make up the difference.

Check back for updates.
