CANTON COUNCIL PRESIDENT
ALLEN SCHULMAN

THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY

OREGON
&
CHANGE IN MEETING TIME
FOR
NEXT WEEK'S MEETING
In deference to Canton City Council President Allen Schulman, The Stark County Political Report publishes a "brief" blog.
The Report is honored to have Schulman as a reader even though he takes exception to SCPR blogs from time-to-time.
A main point of the SCPR is to stimulate discussion on the important issues faced by Stark County's cities, villages, townships, the county and boards of education.
While it is always gratifying to have agreement with the SCPR point-of-view, such is a secondary, at best, objective of this online publication.
It is rare indeed for the SCPR to do blogs which are mere announcements of one variety or another.
In an exchange with Schulman at last night's meeting, he commented on the length and detailed treatment that The Report gave to the controversy in Massillon as to what to do about The Legends golf course.
In the back and forth, he requested that today the SCPR publish a "brief" blog.
Accordingly, the SCPR presents Schulman on videotape "going on the record" with a prediction that "The Ohio State University" will become national college football champions next Monday night.
Of course, there are relatively few Ohioans who would want to miss the kick off. Hence Schulman also announced a change in meeting times (the regular meeting and the immediate preceding work session).
As regular readers of this blog know, no Stark County media publication goes into the detail that the SCPR does on political and governance topics which are vitally important to Stark Countians across the political subdivision landscape.
Over the past seven years The Report has had many, many comments to the effect that but for the SCPR, Stark Countians would be in the dark on many noteworthy and important political and governance matters.
Again, in deference to Schulman, today's blog is about as brief as the SCPR ever gets.
But anything for President Allen Schulman.
"Lots of laughs," no?
Thank you my friend !
