AVENATTI QUEST: TO MAKE AMERICAN "GRACIOUS" AGAIN!

UPDATED: 10:42 AM

BUT, HE SAYS, DEMOCRATS MUST FIRST "FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE"

Last night the Stark County "organized" Democratic Party assembled at the Kent State - Stark Conference Center with feature speaker Michael Avenatti of Stormy Daniels v. President Donald J. Trump fame in what appears to be the beginning of a political barnstorming by Avenatti in quest of being the Democratic Party's nominee to oppose Trump's thought to be certain re-election bid in 2020.

Here is what Avenatti had to say when questioned by The Stark County Political Report whether or not his recent frequent appearances in the Buckeye State was a signal that a presidential run is underway.

Avenatti has made appearances like last night's in five Ohio communities all within the past seven weeks.

Local Democrats had a bit of fun last night in concocting a "fake" presidential alert feigning his interruption of the scheduled Avenatti appearance.

Avenatti did land at CAK yesterday and gave a 22 minute speech in which he told local Democrats that in order to compete with Republicans in 2020 they needed to quit being "pansy-esque," the SCPR's expression; not Avenatti's) Democrats and fight Trump's over-the-top-consummate-political-style with "hard ball politics.

The entire Avenatti speech is posted in the Appendix section at the end of this blog.

Dems' chairman Sam Ferruccio introduced Avenatti.

Among the 250, more or less, party stalwarts attending was Stark County sheriff George T. Maier.

Specially recognized by Chairman Ferruccio was longtime Stark County Democratic Party administrative aide June Barlow who was given a Lifetime Service Award by Ferruccio.

Also recognized was Canton City Council president Allen Schulman, a very successful area attorney going back about 40 years, who is likely the leading campaign finance contributor to numerous Democratic candidates and causes.

Many political analysts (including the SCPR) think that November 6th will bring a "blue wave" that should result in the Dems at least taking control of the U.S. House of Representatives.

And, The Report, thinks that 7th Congressional District candidate Ken Harbaugh could be among those making up the "blue wave."
