(VIDEO) FRACKING SERIES - CONTRASTS ON THE FRACKING ISSUES: "NEVER THE TWAIN SHALL MEET?"

Tonight marks the second of a series of two meetings on Hydraulic Fracturing (also fracking) for natural gas which is encased in rock deep underground.  The first was more or less a debate between oil and gas industry representatives and environmentalists.  Tonight's will be on the topic of what Ohio government is doing to protect everyday citizens from harm that some say might come from such drilling.

The event is schedule to begin at 7:00 PM at Plain Township's Oakwood Middle School.

At last week's session, industry reps Tom Stewart (Ohio Oil & Gas Ass'n) and Steve Grose (a former industry executive) spoke for the pro-fracking forces whereas Dusty Horwitt (Environmental Research Group) and Nadia Steinzor (Earthworks) spoke for the anti-fracking community.

To assist Stark Countians in sorting out which is a palatable position, the SCPR presents videos of each of the advocates made last Wednesday.
