ALLIANCE REPUBLICANS JOKE ABOUT 16TH DISTRICT CONGRESSMAN JOHN BOCCIERI "FINALLY" MOVING INTO ALLIANCE AND THE 16TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

The SCPR has learned that Alliance Republicans were in a jocular/festive mood at a recent party functions. The topic? Democratic congressman John Boccieri is "finally" moving into Alliance within the actual confines of the 16th congressional district.

Alliance mayor Middleton was heard joking about how Alan Andreani (Republican Alliance councilman-at-large) was going to have Congressman Boccieri moving in next door. Some Stark County Republicans are skeptical that Boccieri ever really lived in a home he rented in Alliance about a year ago.

The U.S Constitution does not require that a congressman/congresswoman actually live in the district they represent, only that they live somewhere in the state.

Although Youngstown (the area Boccieri originally hails from is close to Pennsylvania, it is in Ohio.

In the spirit of good humor, the SCPR welcomes Congressman John Boccieri into the 16th.
