DISCUSSION: WHO, AMONG THE STARK COUNTY CANDIDATES FOR OFFICE, WILL SHOW UP TO DEFEND YOU?

The Glenwood Middle School meeting is not a campaign stop that Stark County commissioner Republican candidate John Hagan will likely be making.

Nor is it likely that Hagan's Democratic challenger DOCTOR Peter Ferguson will be making.

Nor is it likely that any of the other candidates Tom Harmon, Travis Secrest, John Ferrero (unopposed) , Gary Zeigler (unopposed), Rick Campbell, Jeff Nickles, Nancy Reinbold, Jason Wise, Mike Refus (unopposed), P. S. Murthy, Guy Blaser, Larry Dordea, Tim Swanson, Stephen Slesnick, Richard Hart, Scott Oelslager, Todd Snitchler and Celeste DeHoff will attend.

Voters see them at football games without fail handing out their literature. But when it comes to standing up and be counted on behalf of ordinary people - forget it!

John Hagan bears a special responsibility because as chair of the Ohio House Public Utilities Committee he could have insisted in putting more safeguards in the authorizing legislation to protect everydays from these gigantic increases but failed to do so.

Hagan needs to be asked why he failed to protect Stark County residents.

Question: Why is it that all these candidates can make the football games but they cannot appear at an event like this PUCO hearing to fight for the citizens of Stark County?
